Blueline was founded in 2014 around a simple proposition — that the slow part of architecture, the drawing and revising and editing, is where the building actually gets made. The site visit follows. The model follows. The construction follows. But the work happens at the table, between the brief and the line.
We take on twelve commissions a year across the three scales of our practice. Each gets the same long attention: weeks of brief-setting, months of drawing, and a single principal who carries the project from first conversation to handover.

2014
The studio is founded in Berlin around a single proposition — that drawings should outlast briefs.
2015
First commission completed — a private residence outside Munich for a family of four.
2017
Studio expanded to four hands. Begin to take on the first renovation commissions.
2018
Move to the current studio — a converted ground-floor warehouse in Berlin-Kreuzberg, with north light.
2020
First hospitality commission — Hotel Aevum, on a clifftop outside Lisbon.
2022
Hotel Aevum opens. Mira Sato joins Eero Halvorsen as Partner & Principal.
2024
Tenth commission completed. Cavanna Residence featured in Architectural Digest.
2026
Eleven commissions in seven countries; twelve on the boards.
