The Brief
A family commissioned a small hospitality villa in Provence — an eight-suite property to host guests across the summer season, surrounded by olive groves and lavender fields. The brief was to create a place that felt distinctly Provençal in character but unmistakably contemporary in detail.
Our Approach
The villa is a long horizontal volume in warm cream stucco with arched loggia openings on the ground floor — a modern interpretation of traditional Provençal architecture. Floor-to-ceiling glass faces the lavender fields from every suite. A walnut pergola dining terrace covered in wisteria. A swimming pool with infinity edge facing the lavender.
The Outcome
A villa where guests return year after year, often booking the same suite. The lavender fields are at their peak in July. The wisteria over the pergola flowers in May. The dining terrace fills with the scent of rosemary and the sound of cicadas. The owners' Aston Martin in the gravel courtyard is the final detail.

"We don't take walk-ins anymore. We can't. People book a year ahead and bring their grown children back to celebrate things."
